As part of our dedication to our local community, The Bell Tower is proud to be able to partner with local community groups, charities, and not-for-profit organisations. Our Community Tower Project focuses on supporting these groups with fundraising donations, “lighting up” for significant events and awareness campaigns, and promoting their causes to our ever-growing social media following.

If you have an event or charity you would like us to support by lighting up, apply via the form below and we will be in touch. We can light up for up to 2 days per calendar year for each event.

We ask that you submit your application no less than 30 days before your lighting date. The sooner the better!

Note that this request is only valid for the date for which it is requested and within that calendar year. Any subsequent activity will need to be requested in the next calendar year.

The Bell Tower takes great enthusiasm in supporting local fundraising for schools, sports clubs, and community groups. Providing prizes in the form of entry tickets and special offers, the Bell Tower has been able to help numerous schools and community groups raise valuable funds over the years.

3 Shine a Light on Lymphoedema March 3, 2026 World Lymphoedema Day is on the 6th March 2026, and the month of March is used to raise awareness of the chronic condition of lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is an accumulation of fluid with subsequent swelling and heaviness of parts of the body due to a breakdown in the lymphatic system. It can occur after cancer, or as the result of trauma or a genetic predisposition. It’s more than just a physical condition as it can be debilitating and disfiguring, affecting people both emotionally and psychologically. It is conservatively estimated that around 70,000 people in Australia are living with lymphoedema. The Lymphoedema Association Australia (LAA) has a vision for a world in which people who live with lymphoedema are always met with understanding by the community and the health system. 2026 will make the LAA’s fourth awareness campaign called “Shine A Light On Lymphoedema”. With over 100 Landmarks around Australia lit up in blue, the campaign helped to raise much needed awareness. We are asking landmarks around Australia to light up again in blue, in support of Australians living with lymphoedema.

21 World Down Syndrome Day March 21, 2026 On March 21st, we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) which is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2011. On WDSD, people with Down syndrome and their supporters join to create a single global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and wellbeing of people with Down syndrome. This is an important day for us because people with Down syndrome are often denied their right to inclusion, and we must advocate for acceptance and equality. This year is particularly special for us because it marks the 40th anniversary of Down Syndrome WA. We are a small not for profit organisation that provides support and information for people with Down Syndrome and their families in communities across WA.

26 Purple Day March 26, 2026 March 26th is Purple Day, the international day dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness. On Purple Day landmarks across WA shine purple in a bid to raise awareness of epilepsy and show support for those living with this common neurological condition. 1 in 25 West Aussies will be diagnosed with epilepsy.
