Our community program will be supporting two major events June; the Western Australian Sarcoma Awareness Week and the 30th Anniversary of Red Nose Day.
Sock it to Sarcoma! was the vision of Abbie Basson, who was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in May 2009 at just 17 years of age. Sadly, Abbie lost her battle shortly after her 20th birthday but her hope to make a difference to the lives of those with Sarcoma continues with Sock it to Sarcoma. On 22 June, the start of WA Sarcoma Awareness Week, the Tower will simultaneously shine out PINK and TEAL to help raise awareness and promote the need for more research funding. Click here to find out more about Abbie’s story.
At the end of the month on 29 June our focus is on WA’s 30th anniversary of Red Nose Day. The organisation is calling for support to help reduce the nine Australian deaths a day, to ZERO. On the night the Tower will light up RED acknowledging this important event.
